Companies in other industries such as utilities, logging, tunneling, stockyards, bridging, land, and real estate are considered "off-topic."

How to find company names faster

This is a sloppy search method, specially designed to diminish spelling errors. You do not need to type complete names. In fact, WORD FRAGMENTS are always better. Word order does not matter. Capitalization does not matter. Here are some examples:

  • ohi bal wash will find Washington Branch of the Baltimore & Ohio Rail Road Co.
  • top ant tch will find Atchison Topeka & Santa Fe Railway Co.
  • You can also search with whole or partial company codes (MIS-716, MIS-71, MIS-7).
  • There are no special search characters such as +, -, *, ' ', " ", ( ), { }, []
  • AVOID punctuation and articles such as the, of, and, el, del, la, and los.
