North Dakota
Became Dakota territory: March 2, 1861
Became state: November 2, 1889
A tough state to collect either as North Dakota or Dakota Territory. Because of very limited availablility, any specialized collection of North Dakota railroads will need to include companies that incorporated in other states or provinces and operated there.
