Became state: November 8, 1889

This is another tough state to specialize in because there are currently fewer than fifteen companies represented by certificates that are known to have incorporated in Montana. Only about twice that many companies (counting those with known certificates) operated within the state that were incorporated elsewhere. A few companies incorporated in the state, but operated in Alaska and elsewhere.
