Became territory: May 26, 1864
Became state: November 8, 1889
This is another tough state to specialize in because there
are currently fewer than fifteen companies represented by certificates
that are known to have incorporated in Montana. Only about twice that
many companies (counting those with known certificates) operated within
the state that were incorporated elsewhere. A few companies incorporated
in the state, but operated in Alaska and elsewhere.
