I strongly recommend joining the International Bond & Share Society. Please visit the organization's web at http://www.scripophily.org site for current membership information. Dues for U.S members are $25.

Do not let the words "International" and "Share" intimidate you. IBSS membership in the United States is huge. In actual fact, IBSS members call the group "America's biggest society for stock and bond collectors." Believe me, American stocks and bonds are a big part of global collecting, and probably a lot larger than you might think.

The Society publishes its journal, Scripophily, four times a year. Practically every issue contains information about railroad stocks and bonds. Scripophily also contains numerous advertisements from dealers around the globe.

The Washington Historical Autograph and Certificate Organization (WHACO!) boasts a growing presence in the United States. Visit its web site at www.whaco.com for links to WHACO! dealer members. Dues are $20 for U.S. members, more for international members.
