I do NOT include labor unions or associations in the railroad certificate database.
Some unions may have used railroading words in their organization names ("locomotives", "conductors", etc), their businesses did not involve operating railroads for their own profits.
Labor union profits came strictly from membership dues. Their products were publications and collective bargaining.
While union members may have worked to increase profits of railroad companies, unions themselves were often accused of working at cross purposes.
For the purpose of this catalog, labor unions are not considered railroad companies.
